What makes WhakaBall different from other batting practice tools on the market?

WhakaBall stands out due to its innovative ballistic non-rubberized twisting fabric tether, which allows for seamless solitary practice and warm-up without ball loss, retrieval or the need for a pitcher. Unlike other training tools, WhakaBall's tether spins, recoils and gently returns to the base of the tee for continuous practice, making it a unique, hassle-free solution for batters looking to improve their skills.

How does WhakaBall improve batting skills effectively?

WhakaBall's design allows batters to focus on their technique without delay or interruption. The tethered ball system ensures consistent practice and warm-up, enabling players to refine their swing and accuracy. The immediate return of the ball to base of the tee after each hit encourages repetitive practice, which is essential for muscle memory development and skill enhancement.

Can WhakaBall be used with different types of balls?

No, WhakaBall’s patented design is specific to our product line, ensuring optimal performance and durability. We offer three levels tailored to different needs: Pro/Comp, Rec/School, and Youth. Each level is crafted for its intended audience and is available for purchase online, guaranteeing the best experience for batters at any stage of their development. Heavy based Tanner tee is not included but can be purchased through their website.

Why Can't I Just Hit Off Any Tee Into A Fence A Short Distance Away?

Propelling the ball a short distance doesn’t reveal quality of strike, launch angle or potential flight distance. Contact of ball with chain link fence, cement wall, barrier net, or trees will shorten life of both ball and target. The mounting of the other looped end of the tether should be placed at the heavy grounding of a stable “Tanner-type” batting tee or through the spiral ground spike supplied. WhakaBall mounted properly and propelled into a safe open space will return at medium speed on the ground after exposition of true flight characteristics.

Safety

Since WhakaBall involves violent striking of a bat to ball, then rolling recoil, intelligent precautions and common sense are necessary in setup and application. A WhakaBall apparatus requires a safe space of at least 100 feet forward with 45 degree side range, clearance 15 feet back of the tee or fixation, cleared of any breakable objects or disinterested / injury prone persons. WhakaBall, not a toy, is intended for serious training in a reserved open safe space by solitary healthy athletes over the age of 5 years. The ball must be placed on the tee with its logo facing the batter, and the attachment loop on the opposite side to prevent whipping into the tether that can cause attachment breakage. All balls of any sport with repetitive blows will eventually become soft or irregularly surfaced. Tethers eventually fray and weaken long term. The leather fixation loops, if not oil-lubricated, would dry and split. Use common sense and take care of your tools, please. Unless a serious manufacturer defect is obvious upon early use, WhakaBall refund is not possible due to the fact that the ball / tether are repetitively struck violently, repetitively and hopefully, frequently.
